Linear and Non Linear Activation Functions

What is Activation Function?

Activation functions are mathematical equations that determine the output of a neural network. This functions are added to each neuron in the neural network and determines whether it should be fired or not, based on neuron’s input.

There are mainly two types of activation functions

  1. Linear Activation Function
  2. Non Linear Activation Function

Binomial Distribution.

The binomial distribution model allows us to compute the probability of observing a specified number of "successes" when the process is repeated a specific number of times (e.g. in a set of students grade) and the outcome for a given student's grade is either a success or a failure.
